We're all going to die!

Well: we are according to a couple of blokes in Hawaii...

Asking a Judge to Save the World, and Maybe a Whole Lot More - New York Times
"Walter L. Wagner and Luis Sancho contend that scientists at the European Center for Nuclear Research, or CERN, have played down the chances that the collider could produce, among other horrors, a tiny black hole, which, they say, could eat the Earth."
Damn Health and Safety types.

I read about that! You know what I was REALLY wondering though is, if the worse DID happen, would it be instantaneous? A matter of minutes? Days? A few months? Especially the miniature black hole scenario. Probably exponential I am guessing. Like maybe slow for a few minutes, but then you know once a black hole really gets going, WOO HOO!!!!
